In my first year, the UCBSA provided me with a kind, supportive, and welcoming community that helped me to connect with other cell biology students. Inspired to help other cell bio students feel this way as well, I ran for an exec position the next year, and have been involved in UCBSA ever since! Being able to help support cell bio students has brought great joy and meaning to my life, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to serve as the president during the last year of my undergraduate degree.

I first joined the UCBSA in my first year, mainly to get to know others in the Cell Biology program and gain experience in leadership positions. My experience with the UCBSA has been rewarding and has allowed me to meet a wonderful group of people!

4th Year Honours Student

I joined the UCBSA for several reasons. Firstly, I joined so I could make new friends in the cell bio program and so I could get more involved in student life on campus. In addition, I wanted to help students succeed in their university journeys and have fun along the way. But most importantly, I wanted to talk to some of the lower year students about some of the things I wish I knew earlier in my degree, to help them better succeed in the challenge that the cell bio program presents.

I joined the UCBSA because I enjoyed getting to know the student community! Everybody is very friendly and welcoming, and I knew that I wanted to provide this same experience for incoming students. Building a strong cohort to brighten the university experience creates a positive impact for both UCBSA students and myself.

I used to be a person who rarely participate in social activities, but now I found the pleasure to participate.I hope that by joining UCBSA can connect me with more students in Cell Biology, and help more students to participate in more activities.I hope I can do my best to let every members in our Cell Biology family find the sense of belonging and spend our university time with fun!
